Midfielder Mohd Affize Mamat scored the winner in the 61st minute.
The team were without several key players including Gary Steven Robart, A. Tamil Arasu, Wan Zack Haikal Wan Nor and Zamir Selamat, who were all nursing injuries.
Coach Azraai Khor described the victory as morale boosting especially to those who played in the absence of key players.
"I had 14 players available as 11 were injured, so I did not expect a good result. It proves that even my fringe players are doing fine here," said Azraai via e-mail yesterday.
"It's a good sign. My players are currently playing their best football and I hope to see better results soon."
The team, after earning two wins from nine league matches, have five matches left to play in Slovakia.
They will also compete in next month's Obama Cup in Michigan.
